About AWS PrivateLink
- About AWS PrivateLink
-
AWS PrivateLink provides secure connections between Virtual Private Clouds, endorsed AWS services, and on-premise networks, without public internet exposure. It secures traffic via private IPs, simplifying network management, and reducing output and NAT costs. PrivateLink maintains compliance with HIPAA, EU-US Privacy Shield, PCI, amongst others, aids in secure cloud migrations with AWS Direct Connect or VPN, and enables a secure hybrid cloud architecture.
- AWS PrivateLink pricing
-
AWS PrivateLink bills per hour for each provisioned VPC endpoint, with charges stopping upon deletion or rejection. Additional costs apply for each gigabyte of data processed via the endpoint. Pricing varies based on endpoint type (Interface or Gateway Load Balancer) and data processed, with decreasing rates for higher volumes. Tiers are applied for the first petabyte, next 4 petabytes, and over 5 petabytes. Certain AWS services may incorporate endpoint association costs in their pricing.
