About AWS Ground Station
AWS Ground Station, a managed service for satellite communications control and data processing, eliminates the need for personal infrastructure, giving direct access to AWS global services. It is used in weather forecasting, imaging, communications, and video broadcasts and can reduce operational costs by approximately 80% as users pay only for actual antenna use. It ensures prompt data downloads and high data and physical security.
AWS Ground Station pricing
AWS Ground Station charges per minute of antenna usage, identical rates across regions, with no long-term commitments. Two bandwidth modes are reserved and on-demand. Narrowband (less than 54 MHz) is $3/min for reserved, $10 for on-demand, while Wideband (54 MHz or more) is $10/min for reserved, $22 for on-demand. Special pricing applies for customers reserving at least 150 minutes/month for a year. Cancellation incurs the full contact cost or is free if done over 24 hours beforehand.
