Use Packaging Groups
Packaging groups help manage content efficiently. Bundling related assets together and applying common settings saves costs as opposed to individual configurations.
Optimize Configurations
Only include essential metadata, encryption schemes, and delivery protocols in your packaging configurations. Lessening unnecessary elements reduces storage and bandwidth costs.
Use AWS Batch
You can significantly lower infrastructure costs by enabling AWS Batch to automatically distribute packaging jobs across Spot instances, which use spare compute capacity.

About AWS Elemental MediaPackage
- About AWS Elemental MediaPackage
-
AWS Elemental MediaPackage prepares, protects, and distributes video content to various devices. It transforms single video inputs into multiple streaming formats and scales outputs based on demand, offering a DVR-like experience. The service supports various DRM providers, manages resources across multiple Availability Zones, and resolves issues without disrupting streams. It also integrates perfectly with Amazon CloudFront content delivery network and AWS Elemental MediaLive.
- AWS Elemental MediaPackage pricing
-
AWS Elemental MediaPackage pricing depends on two models: live and video on demand (VOD) packaging. Live pricing relates to video input and packaged content, while VOD pricing depends on video content packaged from the group. A discount can be offered for an annual commitment of usage, typically 10 TB/month or more. Extra charges are possible when content is served outside of AWS or through a non-Amazon CloudFront CDN.
