About AWS CodeStar
- About AWS CodeStar
-
AWS CodeStar is a service for prompt app development, building, and deploying. It offers a unified software management platform with project management, Atlassian JIRA-powered issue tracking, and secure collaboration via role-based policies. However, creating and viewing of CodeStar projects will cease from July 31, 2024, although CodeStar-created AWS resources will continue operation. Amazon CodeCatalyst is the recommended alternative.

AWS CodeStar is a free service, though users must pay for the AWS resources used, such as EC2 instances, AWS Lambda executions, and S3 buckets, without minimum fees/upfront commitments. New AWS customers eligible for the Free Tier can launch low-traffic applications at no cost if they stay within the Free Tier limits. However, resource-intensive applications incur standard AWS rates. CodeStar support will cease on July 31, 2024.
