I started my tech journey in 2009 with a basic laptop, working my way up from VMBO to university. By 2017, I was leading tech at Dataswitcher where we landed Intuit as a client. That's when I learned a crucial lesson: scaling globally isn't just about code - it's about infrastructure and compliance eating up your time.

As an interim CTO, I've seen this pattern repeatedly: talented teams getting bogged down by infrastructure that isn't their core business. When you're growing fast after funding, every hour spent maintaining complex systems is an hour not spent on your product.
